The One Remedy I Never Travel Without (Hint: It’s a Summer MVP)
Whether it’s a family road trip, poolside lounging, or an impromptu hike that turns into a sunburned adventure- you better believe I’m packing sunscreen, snacks, and this one remedy that has saved our summer more times than I can count.
Meet: Belladonna.
No, not the deadly nightshade in your garden. I’m talking about homeopathic Belladonna- the red-hot hero of summer acutes.
Why Belladonna Deserves VIP Status in Your Beach Bag
Belladonna is the remedy for those moments when someone goes from fine to fiery in what feels like two seconds flat.
-Your toddler’s cheeks turn crimson after 20 minutes on the playground, and she’s suddenly hot, bothered, and furious about the existence of socks? Belladonna.
-Your teenager insists they didn’t need a hat while mowing the lawn and now they’re lying on the couch with a throbbing head, flushed face, and a growing hatred of sunshine? Belladonna.
-You, after falling asleep under an umbrella that definitely moved and now you look like a lobster and feel like one too? You guessed it- Belladonna.
Belladonna 30C or 200C- What’s the Difference?
Both are great. If I’ve got 30C on hand, I’ll give it every 15-30 minutes for a few doses during intense symptoms. If I’ve got 200C, one dose often does the trick, followed by a second a bit later if needed. It’s not about overthinking- it’s about matching the moment.
When the symptoms are sudden, intense, and come with heat, throbbing, redness, and a little drama… Belladonna shines.
Real Life Example:
“Last summer while visiting family, one of my kids got overheated after running wild with his cousins. His face was flaming red, his eyes looked glassy, and he kept saying his head felt like ‘drums were banging inside.’ I gave him a dose of Belladonna 200C, and by the time dessert hit the table, he was back to inventing pool games and asking for seconds.”
